Fiona Johnston To Depart Dentsu

Fiona Johnston to Depart Dentsu

Fiona Johnston will depart Dentsu at the end of this week, after nearly three years with the business.

Currently the CEO – client and commercial, Johnston joined from IPG Mediabrands. Her departure follows Kirsty Muddle’s announcement that she will be joining Ogilvy, although the two are unconnected.

Johnston’s departure is also unrelated to the rumoured sale of Dentsu’s international business. Instead, Dentsu is removing her current role to bring greater simplicity to its business and create a flatter leadership structure.

The company is realigning its model to support its strategic capabilities and Media ++ strategy.

No comment from Dentsu on the reason of her departure.

Author summary: Fiona Johnston departs Dentsu after three years.
