Wiregrass Talent Shines in Deep South's Oldest Rivalry

Wiregrass talent continues to shine under the brightest lights in college football. The Deep South's oldest rivalry featured more than just two powerhouse programs, spotlighting familiar faces from the Wiregrass.

Georgia overcame a poor first half to defeat Auburn 20-10 at Jordan-Hare Stadium. Senior running back Josh McCray, a graduate of Enterprise High School, was among the key contributors for the Bulldogs, recording six carries for 24 yards.

"I just love those guys," said Georgia Head Coach Kirby Smart. "They both came in from really good programs. They love Georgia and compete every day. I wanted them to experience this atmosphere and enjoy it. They both played well and did good things for us.

McCray and teammate Zachariah Branch were celebrated by Coach Smart as they headed into the locker room, interacting with fans after the game.
