Tasmania’s Chief Thoroughbred Steward Sacked
Tasracing terminated the employment of the senior racing official due to "conduct-related matters".
The steward was stood down on September 21, just days after starting in the role on September 15.
- The organisation and the state’s racing watchdog have not disclosed the specifics of the steward's misconduct.
- Racing Integrity Commissioner Sean Carroll confirmed he had been advised of the dismissal.
The conduct was described as "disappointing" by Carroll's office, but they were "satisfied with the manner in which Tasracing has managed the situation since becoming aware of the allegations"
