Family-friendly Fundraiser 'Run for Rivers' Raises Funds for New Confluence Center
The Confluence Center of Colorado will host its inaugural 'Run for Rivers' fundraiser on November 8, along the Riverfront Trail in Grand Junction.
Starting at 10 a.m., participants can enjoy a 5K run, 1K run for kids, and other activities like a nature scavenger hunt and art projects.
- 5K and 1K runs will start and end at the new Confluence Center
- Location: along the riverfront trail
- Grand Opening event: November 5th, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
"We wanted to build awareness about this wonderful new community space," said Johanna Van Waveren, Eureka's Community Engagement Director.
The Confluence Center is a hub for education, stewardship, and collaboration around rivers, habitats, and natural resources.
