A crash on Highway 4 between Port Alberni and Parksville on Saturday, Sept. 27, has resulted in the death of one driver and serious injuries to another.
According to Oceanside RCMP, the crash occurred when an eastbound Honda Civic lost control on a series of curves and collided with a westbound Chevy Impala near Cameron Lake.
BC EHS confirmed that an ambulance with advanced care paramedics and a paramedic supervisor responded to the scene and provided emergency medical treatment to the injured patient.
The crash caused the closure of the highway for several hours.
