Philadelphia Medical Examiner Reaffirms Ellen Greenberg's Stabbing Death as Suicide

The Philadelphia Medical Examiner's Office has issued a report reaffirming its ruling that the 2011 stabbing death of Ellen Greenberg, a 27-year-old Manayunk teacher, was a suicide.

Greenberg was found with 20 stab wounds in her apartment on January 26, 2011. The Chief Medical Examiner, Dr. Lindsay Simon, stated that Greenberg would have been capable of inflicting the injuries on herself, citing no signs of struggle or intruder at the scene.

The family's attorney called the report "an embarrassment."
