A fast-moving storm brought rain, thunder, and hail to the Valley on Monday afternoon.
The National Weather Service issued multiple warnings for different cities, with meteorologist Gabriel Lojero noting the storm's potential to cause major damage.
“As we saw a trained spotter report, half an inch of rain in less than 10 minutes, so these thunderstorms are very capable of producing very heavy rainfall in a short amount of time,”
According to reports from SRP and APS, over 10,000 customers in the East Valley, Phoenix, Paradise Valley, and Scottsdale were left without power as of 2 p.m.
