Dockworkers at the Port of Rotterdam returned to work on Monday after a court ordered a temporary suspension of their strike.
The strike, which began on Wednesday, was over stalled negotiations for a new collective labor agreement. The workers, employed by ILS and Matrans, had been demanding a pay increase.
The court ruled that the strike could continue until 7 a.m. Monday but must then be paused to clear backlogs.
ILS and Matrans maintain that the revised proposal is too high.
