State Representative Shane Lindauer Announces Decision Not to Seek Reelection

State Representative Shane Lindauer (R-District 63) has announced that he will not seek reelection in 2026, when his current term concludes.

Lindauer has served in the Indiana House of Representatives since 2017, initially appointed to fill the seat vacated by now-Governor Mike Braun. He is a small business owner and a former member of the Indiana and Missouri Army National Guard, residing in Jasper.

Prior to his role as State Representative, Lindauer served on the Dubois County Council and has been active in his community through various roles.

“Serving the people of District 63 has been one of the greatest honors of my life,” said Lindauer. “After careful consideration with my wife Stacy, I’ve decided it’s time to step away from public office and focus on what is best for my family and small business. I’m deeply grateful to my constituents, colleagues, and staff for their support over the years.
