Patrick Gregorio, chairman of the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC), announced on Friday during the athletes’ send-off at Rizal Memorial Coliseum that every SEA Games athlete will receive PHP 24,000.
“All athletes who will represent the Philippines in the Southeast Asian Games will receive PHP 24,000 each as a token of recognition from the PSC,” Gregorio said.
This financial support is part of the government’s efforts to honor and motivate Filipino athletes competing at the regional sporting event.
The announcement came as athletes prepared to depart for the SEA Games, emphasizing PSC’s commitment to backing their efforts.
This funding boost reflects PSC’s official acknowledgment and encouragement of the athletes’ hard work and dedication towards representing the country at the SEA Games.
