Yellow Alert in Five Kerala Districts
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for the districts of Pathanamthitta, Idukki, Palakkad, Malappuram, and Wayanad. The alert is in effect due to the likelihood of heavy rainfall and rough sea conditions along Kerala’s coast.

According to the IMD, strong winds and turbulent sea conditions are expected in parts of the coastal region. Fishermen have been advised not to venture into the sea as a precautionary measure.
