From November 1 to November 7, eight postcodes across North East England secured thousands of pounds in the latest People’s Postcode Lottery draws. Among the selected areas was one in County Durham, with others in Consett, Saltburn, and Middlesbrough also taking home £1,000 prizes.
The People’s Postcode Lottery is a subscription-based lottery that supports charities while rewarding participants with cash prizes across the United Kingdom.
“A minimum of 33 per cent from each ticket goes to charity and players have raised more than £950 million for over 9,000 charities and good causes since 2005.”
Daily rewards include £1,000 prizes for twenty different postcodes, while weekends feature jackpots of £30,000 for each winning ticket in a selected area.
Since its launch, the People’s Postcode Lottery has grown into one of the UK’s biggest charity funding initiatives, combining community support with the thrill of winning.
