South Korean pop artist Hyuna, 33, lost consciousness on November 9 during a performance at the Waterbomb music festival in Macau. The incident quickly spread on social media, raising concerns about her health.
While performing her 2011 hit song Bubble Pop!, Hyuna suddenly fainted. Two backup dancers rushed to assist her, and a security staff member carried her off the stage.
Later that day, Hyuna addressed her fans through Instagram, expressing regret and assuring them of her condition.
“I’m truly sorry,” she wrote in Korean. “It had been only a short time since my last show, but I wanted to give you my best performance.”
She admitted she could not recall the exact moment she fainted but promised to focus on her health and performance endurance.
“I’ll try to build up my stamina and keep working hard,” she added. “Things might not always go smoothly, but I will do my best.”
Hyuna, known for her time in the K-pop groups Wonder Girls, 4Minute, and Triple H, received an outpouring of support from fans worldwide following the incident.
