Six people were injured and one man was killed during three separate shootings across New York City on Sunday night, according to police reports. The violent series of events spanned the Bronx and Queens, leaving communities shaken as investigations continue.
Shortly before 9 p.m., officers responded to a 911 call on Brook Avenue between East 142nd and East 143rd Streets in the Mott Haven neighborhood. Inside a building, they discovered three male victims, one of whom was a teenager.
Police said all three victims were taken to Lincoln Hospital and are in stable condition. The investigation remains active and no arrests have been made.
About 20 minutes earlier, police responded to another shooting inside a residence on 16th Road between 147th and 149th Streets in Whitestone, Queens.
Both victims were transported to a nearby hospital and remain in stable condition. Authorities recovered a firearm at the scene, and detectives are continuing their investigation.
“The investigation remains ongoing,” said an NYPD spokesperson.
