The Ministry of Energy has explained how decisions regarding electricity restrictions are made. Outage schedules vary depending on the current state of the energy system, which can fluctuate hourly.
Restrictions are dictated by various factors such as the impact of shelling, accidents, shortages in power supply, and surges in consumption—especially during peak hours or extreme weather conditions, like cold or heat.
According to the Ministry, after large-scale shelling, the energy system often suffers from reduced generation capacity or damaged transmission networks. This damage necessitates limiting electricity consumption.
The Ministry states, "The command to apply one or another type of restriction can be given by both NPC 'Ukrenergo' and distribution system operators."
The extent of these restrictions depends on current energy consumption levels and how much electricity the equipment can generate and transmit.
Electricity outage schedules change dynamically in response to ongoing challenges in the energy network, requiring adaptive restrictions to balance supply and consumption.
Author's summary: Electricity restriction schedules fluctuate hourly due to damage and consumption patterns, requiring flexible management to maintain energy system stability.
