Surrey M25 as crash caused 30 minute delays - recap

Surrey M25 Crash Causes Morning Delays

Drivers faced significant delays on the M25 clockwise this morning following a multi-vehicle collision near Junction 7. The incident, which occurred shortly after 6:15 a.m., temporarily slowed traffic between Junctions 5 (Sevenoaks) and 7 (M23).

“We were made aware of a collision involving four vehicles near J7 of the clockwise carriageway of the M25 shortly after 6.15am this morning. No injuries were reported, and the call was passed to National Highways,” said a spokesperson for Surrey Police.

National Highways initially reported travel times of around 30 minutes, with congestion gradually easing. By 8:25 a.m., traffic monitoring service Inrix noted that while movement remained slow, conditions were improving and delays had dropped to about 10 minutes.

“Slow traffic due to earlier accident on M25 clockwise from J5 M26 / A21 (Sevenoaks) to J7 M23. From a short hold earlier,” stated Inrix.

Surrey Police confirmed that no injuries resulted from the crash, and the motorway has since returned to normal traffic flow.
