Beginning in March 2026, Jetstar will launch flights from the Sunshine Coast to Denpasar three times a week using its A321neo LR aircraft. The route will provide more than 70,000 additional seats annually and include onward connections to Singapore.
The new service marks Jetstar’s tenth direct route between Australia and Bali, and its fourth originating from Queensland, following the recent Gold Coast–Denpasar launch.
“We’re proud to be the first airline to connect the Sunshine Coast to Bali and Singapore. It’s a great win for travellers wanting an easy international getaway,” said Jetstar Chief Executive Stephanie Tully.
“With direct flights to Bali, travellers can trade time on the road to Brisbane for extra hours in paradise,” she added.
Tully emphasized that Jetstar remains the largest carrier in South-East Queensland and will continue expanding its network to meet the growing demand for low fares across the region.
According to Sunshine Coast Airport Chief Executive Chris Mills, “For the first time, locals can fly direct to Bali for an island holiday. Our research shows that this is a highly sought-after destination.”
“After a short stop in Bali, the flight continues to Singapore – a global hub,” Mills added.
The introduction of this route is expected to significantly enhance international travel convenience for Sunshine Coast residents while supporting economic growth and tourism in the region.
Jetstar’s new flights from Sunshine Coast to Bali and Singapore mark a major step in regional connectivity, offering easier international travel and boosting tourism potential.
