After securing a spot for the mixed doubles curling event at the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics, Korey Dropkin is now focusing on the U.S. Olympic Team Trials. From November 11 to 16, he will compete to become the U.S. representative at the last-chance qualifier for the men’s curling team event in December.
Speaking at the United States Olympic and Paralympic Committee summit in New York in late October, Dropkin shared an important piece of advice from his father:
“One of the big things that my dad always told me was get the reps in.”
Asked if he still follows this guidance, the 30-year-old curler revealed that his father's words have been taken quite literally in recent times. Since January 2025, Dropkin has been focused on securing U.S. quota spots for both the men’s and mixed doubles teams at the Olympic Winter Games.
Dropkin’s determination continues as he eyes the upcoming trials with a clear goal: to secure his place and the team's at the Olympics.
“Olympic trials come with the Olympic aura,” he said, embracing the significance of the moment.
Author's summary: Korey Dropkin is focused and determined as he seeks to secure his place on the U.S. curling team for Milano Cortina 2026, embracing every challenge with dedication.
