BBC presenter Sara Cox is preparing to undertake one of the longest challenges for Children in Need, aiming to raise significant funds for the annual charity event.
Sara will start her challenge in the scenic Kielder Forest, a location that gained international attention this year as the setting for key scenes in the zombie thriller 28 Years Later, directed by Oscar winner Danny Boyle.
Her journey will end in Pudsey, near Leeds, where she will reunite with the famous Children in Need bear, Pudsey.
Former Radio 1 presenter Sara Cox now hosts Radio 2 at Tea Time and leads the station's Book Club.
"Sara’s Great Northern Marathon Challenge will see her run, jog, and walk through sweeping moorland, steep ridges, and the rolling hills of northern England, all while carrying a very special Pudsey Bear backpack."
Author's summary: Sara Cox embarks on a 135-mile Children in Need challenge from scenic Kielder Forest to Pudsey, blending fundraising with a striking Northern England landscape.
