Jetstar Restarts Adelaide to Melbourne Avalon Route with $29 Flights

Jetstar is expanding its Adelaide network by resuming flights to Melbourne Avalon Airport, offering promotional fares starting at $29. The service will restart on 26 March 2026, providing South Australian travellers an affordable and convenient connection to Victoria.

The airline plans to operate up to seven weekly return flights on this route, adding around 109,000 low-cost seats annually. This also reconnects South Australia with destinations such as Victoria’s Surf Coast, Bellarine Peninsula, and Geelong.

The route, previously available before the pandemic, will be served by Jetstar’s Airbus A320 aircraft.

Promotional Offer

To mark the relaunch, Jetstar is offering one-way fares starting at just $29, available from 11:30 AM (ACDT) today. These limited-time prices mirror the airline’s launch fares from over 20 years ago and are expected to sell out quickly.

Jetstar CEO Statement

“These new flights to Melbourne Avalon Airport provide South Australians with greater opportunities to take advantage of our low fares and are part of a significant increase in flights in and out of Adelaide this year,” said Jetstar CEO Stephanie Tully.

“It’s now easier and more affordable than ever to access Victoria’s popular Surf Coast, Bellarine Peninsula wine region, Geelong and Melbourne.”

Key Route Benefits

Jetstar's relaunch of this route offers South Australians fresh travel options at competitive prices, reviving a popular connection lost during the pandemic.
