The American Hockey League (AHL) regular season is underway, with the Utah Mammoth starting strong with a seven-game winning streak. Their affiliate, the Tucson Roadrunners, has experienced a mixed start. In October, the Roadrunners posted a 3-4-1 record, playing six of their eight games at the Tucson Convention Center. They currently hold fifth place in the Pacific Division.
The Roadrunners began their season on the road, splitting a two-game series against the Ontario Reign. At home, they went 2-3-1 facing the Calgary Wranglers, Manitoba Moose, and Bakersfield Condors. Here are their October results:
Last season, the Roadrunners struggled offensively at times, but this year’s offense has been notable. With several new players joining the squad, scoring has improved significantly. Midway through their six-game homestand, six players maintained a point-per-game or better rate. Although scoring slowed toward the end of the month, the offense remains strong given the roster changes.
“One of the biggest stories early in the season has been Daniil But.”
His impact has been a highlight amidst the team’s transitional phase.
The Tucson Roadrunners have faced challenges with a reshaped roster but continue to show promising offensive potential as the AHL season advances.
