Aussie Olympic swimming legend Ariarne Titmus has revealed significant updates in her personal life following her recent retirement from competitive swimming at the age of 25.
Titmus has moved to Melbourne to live with her partner, Mac Powell, who works as an investment analyst.
"It's just happened this week, new beginnings, a fresh start, a new chapter," Titmus said.
She admitted it was difficult to leave Queensland but noted she has family and many friends in Melbourne, especially those who have relocated from Tasmania.
Titmus shared her satisfaction with the decision to retire from swimming, enjoying a more "normal" lifestyle that includes simple pleasures like cooking dinner at home and spending time with family and friends over a glass of wine.
She also hinted at relief from the earlier lifestyle demands of competitive sport.
"It took me a while to make the decision...and I've definitely made the right one," she told News Corp.
