Developer Embark Studios is addressing server difficulties that affected Arc Raiders players over the weekend by offering in-game compensation. Players who logged in on November 2 will receive 500 Raider Tokens as a gesture of goodwill.
The official Arc Raiders account on X confirmed the compensation, noting,
“We appreciate your patience as our servers had a wobble on Sunday, Scrappy must've pecked a few wires loose, he's been put on the naughty step 🐓. As a token of our thanks, we're sending 500 Raider Tokens to all Raiders who logged in on Sunday.”
SteamDB reported a new peak concurrent player count of 354,836 on Steam that day, setting a record for extraction shooters with PvP. Since the game is also available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and the Epic Games Store, the total player count is even higher than the Steam numbers suggest.
Arc Raiders experienced similar server troubles on its launch day, October 30, a common occurrence for multiplayer titles which reflects strong player interest. Embark Studios chose to release the game between Battlefield 6 and Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, highlighting confidence in their product.
Looking forward, Embark has announced that Arc Raiders will focus on the core game's aesthetics and will not introduce "novelty" skins.
Arc Raiders rewards its community for server troubles while maintaining a focus on gameplay quality and aesthetics over cosmetic extras.
