Skydiving Legend Prepares for Milestone Jump at 86
At 86 years old, Kim Knor has recently completed her 999th skydive and is gearing up for her 1,000th jump this November in Florida.
Early Beginnings and Hiatus
Kim Knor began skydiving in 1959 at the age of 18 by forging her parents’ signature to make her first jump. She paused her skydiving career in 1967 to focus on raising her family.
Return to the Skies and Ambitious Goal
Knor returned to skydiving in 2003 and set an ambitious goal to complete 1,000 jumps. Her upcoming milestone jump will take place in Lake Wales.
Award and Recognition
Upon completing her 1,000th skydive, Knor will be awarded the United States Parachute Association Gold Wings, a prestigious honor in the skydiving community.
