The Fox’s Fifi, Fev & Nick kept the Melbourne Cup spirit alive despite the rain by moving their live broadcast indoors at Crown Melbourne. They hosted a lively pre-Cup event filled with laughs, live music, and celebrity guests.
Broadcast from 5–7pm instead of their usual Breakfast show hours, the event attracted over 500 guests to the Crown Atrium rooftop. Hosts Fifi Box, Brendan Fevola, and Nick Cody were joined by notable figures including Gai Waterhouse, Victoria Racing Club Chief Executive Officer Kylie Rogers, and Dave “Hughesy” Hughes.
The celebration featured live performances by ARIA Award-winning duo PNAU and artist Cyril. The crowd enjoyed giveaways, live interviews, and the final public viewing of The People’s Cup, the iconic three-handled Lexus Melbourne Cup trophy.
"It looks like the drizzle yesterday was a precursor for a cold, wet and windy race that stops the nation today."
The show airs weekdays from 6-9am on Melbourne’s 101.9 The Fox and is also available on LiSTNR.
