Hyundai Motor Group (HMG) from South Korea has entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Singapore’s Economic Development Board (EDB) to advance low-carbon technologies, with a strong focus on hydrogen energy. The partnership aims to identify new opportunities and reinforce cooperation in sustainable technology development.
Through this agreement, EDB will support HMG’s participation in programs that encourage the growth and application of low-carbon technologies. This includes working with local companies and innovators to accelerate technological progress and strengthen sustainability initiatives.
The collaboration expands upon the existing relationship between the two organizations, which began with the Hyundai Motor Group Innovation Center Singapore (HMGICS)—HMG’s first open global innovation hub and experimentation platform.
“We are excited to collaborate with the EDB to explore new growth areas, including the development of low-carbon technologies. By bringing our cutting-edge expertise in hydrogen technology, this partnership represents a significant step forward in creating a clean energy future for Singapore,” said Jaeha Park, Vice President and Head of Global Hydrogen Business at Hyundai Motor Group.
“This MoU builds on the strong partnership between EDB and Hyundai Motor Group,” stated Zheng Jingxin, Vice President and Head of Mobility at Singapore’s Economic Development Board.
Hyundai Motor Group and Singapore’s EDB are deepening collaboration to foster hydrogen-based and low-carbon solutions, aiming to strengthen Singapore’s position in clean energy innovation.
