Mail shipments to Canada will restart next week despite the ongoing rolling strike at Canada Post. A spokeswoman from the Bermuda Post Office confirmed that mail shipments to Canada will resume on Monday, although delivery delays may still happen due to the disruptions.
“The BPO appreciates the public’s patience and co-operation during this time.”
Mail delivery services from Bermuda to Canada were suspended in late September because of a nationwide strike at Canada Post. The Canadian Union of Postal Workers recently switched from a full national strike to a rotating strike, which enables mail deliveries to continue intermittently.
Additionally, all local post offices in Bermuda will close at noon tomorrow for a staff event.
“The BPO apologises for any inconvenience this early closure may cause.”
