Delia “Dee” “Della” “Estelle” D’Alesandris peacefully passed away on October 26, 2025. She was born on March 7, 1930, in Ballinamona, Ahascragh, Ballinasloe, County Galway, Ireland, to Patrick and Margaret (Cosgrove) Concannon.

Immigration and Career

Delia emigrated to the United States in February 1952, joining her brothers John and Jim in West Hartford, Connecticut, where she lived with her late aunt Mary Cosgrove Lavery. She quickly found employment at The Hartford Insurance Company and later at Aetna Insurance Company, where she worked for several years.

Personal Life and Interests

Throughout her life, Delia was known for her kindness and ability to make others feel welcome. Friends and acquaintances often received handwritten notes or homemade dishes from her as a token of her thoughtfulness.

Family

Delia lived in Newington for 62 years with her husband until his passing. She was predeceased by her brothers John, Jim, and Tim Concannon and sisters Mary Egan, Margaret Kyne, and Ellie Kennedy.
