IHG Hotels & Resorts Accelerates Growth in Nepal with Crowne Plaza Lumbini
IHG® Hotels & Resorts, a global leader in hospitality, has signed a management agreement with Lumbini Heritage Limited to launch Crowne Plaza Lumbini in 2026. This will be the second Crowne Plaza property in Nepal, enhancing the brand's premium footprint in South Asia.
Prime Location and Strategic Advantage
Situated in the historic pilgrimage city of Lumbini, the hotel will cater to spiritual visitors and business travellers attending meetings, incentives, conferences, and events (MICE). It is located about four kilometres from the main pilgrimage site and 18 kilometres from Gautam Buddha Airport, positioning it well within an underserved market for international hotel brands.
Facilities and Accommodation
- The hotel will include 137 premium rooms and 10 suites.
- Versatile meeting and event spaces will be available, including a banquet hall for various occasions.
