GFL Environmental, also known as Kentucky Petroleum Recycling, was severely damaged in the crash. Fortunately, the eight employees present had left the site shortly before the accident.
“I’m assuming he didn’t make it, but it’s okay. There were lives lost so I’m not going to worry about my cat,”
Louisville, referred to as a “UPS town” by local councilwoman Betsy Ruhe, is mourning the loss and searching for over a dozen missing residents after the tragedy.
“He’s been our shop cat for seven or eight years. He was a good cat,”
Bob, a gray and black cat with a distinctive bob tail, had been a familiar and beloved presence at the shop for many years.
Summary: Bob, a cherished shop cat at GFL Environmental, is presumed dead following a devastating UPS plane crash at a Kentucky petroleum plant that claimed multiple lives.
