Right at Home Winchester Celebrates 10 Years of Personal Care

WINCHESTER — Right at Home Winchester marks a decade of providing personal care to residents of the Northern Shenandoah Valley and surrounding areas. Located at 918 Amherst St., the company is managed by owner and administrator Peter Lawrence.

Care Team and Services

Right at Home Winchester employs 90 staff members, including 83 certified nursing assistants (CNAs). These CNAs assist clients in their own homes with tasks such as light housekeeping, grocery shopping, meal preparation, and personal hygiene.

Essentially, the CNAs act as personal companions for adults with medical conditions, offering the one-on-one support usually provided by family members.

Supporting Families and Clients

“We send CNAs into people’s homes to help them really just stay safely and comfortably there,” Lawrence said. “I always tell families to consider Right at Home their loved one’s personal assistant.”

The service is invaluable when clients lack family caregivers or when family members need relief from caregiving duties.

Affordability and Veteran Support

Right at Home Winchester operates as a private provider, as most insurance policies do not cover personal care services. Although fees are not the lowest, they remain affordable for most families. Military veterans can access these services at no cost through a partnership with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.

Author’s summary: Right at Home Winchester has spent ten years delivering vital in-home care through its dedicated CNAs, offering essential support to families and veterans in the Northern Shenandoah Valley.
