In an interview with Men's Health, Gene Simmons shared unexpected details about his eating preferences. The KISS rocker, 76, described eating cake and cookies as "about as much fun as I can have with my pants on."
While showing the contents of his refrigerator, Simmons highlighted the healthy items inside, explaining they mainly reflect his wife Shannon Tweed's tastes. He said,
"Nothing that you see in here—the salads—describes my taste buds. The wifey puts all that stuff in, ‘cause my druthers: hot fudge sundae, a good backrub, and shut the f--- up."
The rock icon revealed that sweets primarily motivate his eating choices.
"I don't really care if it's pasta or shmasta, or foie gras and anything with a French name… I really don't care."
He emphasized that indulging in desserts gives him the most enjoyment.
Simmons noted that during tours, his cravings for sweets feel more justified. He explained,
"I'd eat cheesecake every day because I'm wearing 40 pounds of armor, seven-inch platform heels—each one of the dragon boots probably weighed, I don't know, eight to 10 lbs., a leg, a foot. You don't have to do anything."
He also mentioned that such heavy costumes can exhaust him in just two hours.
Gene Simmons embraces a sweet-heavy diet fueled by the demands of his intense stage costumes, balancing his wife’s healthier food preferences with his love for indulgent treats.
