A temporary road closure will take place in Swarthmoor to enable essential utility works by Fibrus. This will affect a section of Pennington Lane later this month.
The closure starts on November 18, 2025, and is expected to last about three days. It will affect U5124 Pennington Lane from its junction with the A590, extending approximately 370 meters southwest.
A signed alternative route will be available using the unrestricted parts of the U5124, C5036, and A590 roads.
"A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. Passage for emergency vehicles will be maintained where required for the duration of the restriction."
These temporary changes are necessary for completing the utility upgrades safely and efficiently.
Author’s summary: Essential roadworks on Pennington Lane will temporarily close the road for around three days in November 2025, with alternative routes and pedestrian access ensured.
