Contest Encourages Businesses to Support South Cumbrian Festival

Local businesses in Ulverston are invited to decorate their shop windows to celebrate the return of the annual Dickensian Festival. The initiative aims to boost community spirit and attract visitors to the town during the festive weekend.

Window Display Competition

The Town Council has launched a contest encouraging shops, cafés, and other businesses to create their most festive window designs. The winning display will be announced on Friday, November 28, one day before the festival begins.

"There will be a certificate awarded to the winner and runner-up of the shop, cafe or business with the best festive window display," said a spokesperson from the Town Council.

"The competition will be judged by the Mayor of Ulverston, Councillor Shirley-Anne Wilson — we look forward to seeing your festive displays."
