YouTube Critic Praises Phenomenal Breakfast at Ulverston’s Base Restaurant

On October 31, the well-known YouTube critic The MacMaster shared a video review after a morning visit to the Base Restaurant in Ulverston, south Cumbria. The vlogger, who has over 235,000 subscribers, described his experience as outstanding and expressed a strong desire to return.

During his visit, The MacMaster ordered a breakfast sandwich before heading out for a hike to the Hoad Monument. He was evidently impressed with the meal’s flavor and preparation.

"This is absolutely phenomenal, I've got to tell you, everything on here. This is what separates a cook from a chef — Mark in there is a chef, a master chef."

"Normally I'd ask for tomato or HP sauce, but I don’t want any sauce on this because I don’t want to ruin the flavor."

In 2020, he took over what was previously The Coach House at Ford Park, transforming it into Base.
