Flinders Port Holdings introduced a custom-built float at the National Pharmacies Christmas Pageant in Adelaide, emphasizing the essential role of maritime trade in bringing festive spirit to South Australians.
The pageant begins at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 8, marked by the golden whistle that traditionally opens the event. Since 1933, the pageant has heralded the start of the Christmas season in South Australia, drawing thousands of spectators of all ages along the city streets.
“We’re thrilled to finally unveil our FPH float.”
“The float celebrates the vital role maritime trade plays in bringing festive joy and presents to South Australians each year.”
The company noted that this is the first custom-built float to join the pageant in five years. It features a replica of one of FPH’s Pilot boats, surrounded by straddle carriers, containers, and FPH elves preparing Christmas gifts. A blue fabric ruffle at the base creates the illusion of the Pilot Boat gliding on water.
Flinders Port Holdings officially launched the float at Outer Harbor earlier in the week, where their cheerful “FPH elves” joined in the celebration.
