The reality show The Celebrity Traitors has concluded, with Alan Carr emerging as the winner despite his notably loud talking and visible sweating. One lingering question after the finale was whether Alan and singer Paloma Faith—the real-life friend Alan ‘murdered’ on the show—had reconciled.
On the final episode of the companion show Uncloaked, host Ed Gamble directly addressed the tension. He asked Alan, “Now with the nation watching, do you think it's time for an apology? I mean, Paloma's sat right there.”
Alan appeared uncomfortable but responded with humor:
“I am so sorry. You know I am and I want to tell everyone that I'm the father of a child. We had a make-up hug, one thing led to another.”
Paloma, who is expecting her fourth child, expressed her feelings candidly:
“Observing tonight and going through my whole plethora of hormonal emotions, I feel like the reason Alan won, and why I was so sad, is because we all love him so much. And I love you so much and I'm so happy that you won because it was bloody worth it then.
But I think most people didn’t vote for you because they thought, ‘How can we vote for someone so lovable?’ It really shows that you won it, you hurt me and I loved you, but…”
Alan interrupted with another joke:
“Only love can hurt like that..”
This was a playful nod to Paloma’s 2014 hit song Only Love Can Hurt Like This.
The exchange highlighted a heartfelt and humorous reconciliation between Alan and Paloma, showing that despite the show's conflicts, their friendship remains strong.
