Temporary route adjustments will occur on Remembrance Sunday, 9 November 2025. Nottingham City Transport (NCT) has announced several diversions due to local parades.
At 11am on both Sunday 9 and Tuesday 11 November, bus drivers will observe a two-minute silence. Where safe, buses will stop, engines will be turned off, and passengers are invited to join in national remembrance.
From 8 to 11 November 2025, all serving personnel, cadets, and veterans may travel free on NCT services. Passengers should either present valid identification or wear their uniform when boarding.
Several roads, including Nottingham Road, Church Drive, and Sir John Robinson Way, will be closed from 09:00 to 12:00 on Sunday 9 November. Bus routes Lilac 25 and Lime 58 will be diverted in this period.
The stops listed above will not be served, though buses will stop along diversion routes.
In Calverton, Sky Blue 61 will be affected from 09:00 to 12:00, bypassing the following stops:
Main Street in East Leake will be closed from 10:30 to 11:45, diverting South Notts 1 through Main Street, Castle Hill, and Loughborough Road.
NCT buses will run on adjusted routes for Remembrance Day parades on 9 November, offering free travel for military personnel and pausing to honor the national silence.
