Plot Summary
The film continues the Jason Bourne universe with a new protagonist, Aaron Cross, played by Jeremy Renner. Released in 2012, the movie expands on the mythology introduced in The Bourne Identity and The Bourne Supremacy. After revelations about the Treadstone program, the US government initiates a secret project, Outcome, to develop genetically enhanced agents. When Jason Bourne exposes the program, the agents are eliminated, but Cross escapes the purge.
Hunted by Colonel Byer (Edward Norton), Cross teams with scientist Marta Shearing (Rachel Weisz) to survive and uncover the truth behind the covert operations.
