Chinese filmmaker Yi Zhou has publicly accused actor Jeremy Renner of sending unsolicited explicit photos and pornographic videos, as well as threatening to "call ICE" on her amidst their professional and personal relationship troubles.

Details of the Allegations

Yi Zhou revealed that Renner first contacted her in June 2025, sending intimate images of himself without consent. She stated:

"It is with deep regret, sadness, and disappointment that I am compelled to share a truth I have been holding inside for too long. Mr. Renner first contacted me directly in June, sending personal and intimate photographs of himself, behavior that, according to public reports, he has exhibited before."

They worked together on two films: a documentary titled Chronicles of Disney and an AI-animated feature called Stardust Future. Despite working on these projects, Renner later denied their relationship and refused to publicly promote the films.

Incidents of Emotional and Verbal Misconduct

Yi Zhou described an alarming episode at Renner's residence where he consumed an entire bottle of wine alone, became enraged, and shouted for two hours during a discussion about their documentary. She locked herself in a room, fearing for her safety, and shared her location with family and colleagues.

"I had to lock myself in a room for my safety, praying he wouldn’t enter at night due to his extreme anger. I didn’t utter a word; I was terrified for my life."

She also shared that colleagues advised her to lock herself in the bathroom for safety during this outburst. Zhou characterized this behavior as part of a disturbing pattern of emotional instability and misconduct by Renner.

Threats and Professional Fallout

After confronting Renner about his misconduct, Zhou claims he threatened to call immigration authorities (ICE) on her, which deeply shocked and frightened her. She expressed her distress over working under such psychological pressure to protect her reputation and work integrity.

"When I called him out privately about his past misconduct and asked him to behave properly, to respect me as a woman and as a filmmaker, he threatened to call immigration/ICE on me, an act that deeply shocked and frightened me."

Exchanged Evidence

Zhou provided screenshots of their WhatsApp conversations, including a brief pornographic video clip allegedly sent by Renner, and texts that documented his threatening behavior. She claims to have a collection of explicit images and videos sent by him during their association.
