Steve Witkoff, the US special presidential envoy for peace missions, acknowledged ongoing challenges but noted progress in resolving the Ukraine conflict.
“I sense that there's some break, there's some progress today, but I think it's a tough conflict,” Witkoff said at a business forum in Miami, Florida.
He emphasized the need for continued work on security protocols, saying,
“We have a lot of work to do with regard to security protocols for Ukraine.”
Witkoff also mentioned intensive technical discussions are required to prepare for a high-level meeting.
Despite delays, dialogue efforts continue as both sides explore ways to advance peace.
The US envoy recognizes progress in settling the Ukraine crisis while underscoring the complexity and sustained effort required to achieve security arrangements and high-level agreements.
