Netflix Teases Animated Spinoff “Stranger Things: Tales From '85”
Netflix has announced a new animated series expanding the Stranger Things universe. Titled Stranger Things: Tales From '85, the show is set to premiere in 2026 and will take place between Seasons 2 and 3 of the original series.
Story and Setting
The story unfolds during the winter of 1985 in Hawkins, where Eleven and her friends face a new paranormal mystery. The series will retain the tone and atmosphere familiar to fans while exploring fresh storylines through animation.
Creative Team
The project is led by showrunner Eric Robles along with creators Matt and Ross Duffer, who developed the original Stranger Things series.
“With animation there’s really no limits,” Ross Duffer said. “Eric and his team can just go wild, and they have.”
