The Las Vegas Raiders' quarterback Geno Smith left a primetime Week 10 game due to an injury but managed to return to the field. This season, Smith's first with the Raiders, has been challenging, yet he has shown improvement in recent weeks.
In Week 9, Smith led the Raiders in a close overtime loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars, throwing three touchdown passes to star tight end Brock Bowers. His strong play has made Las Vegas a more formidable team.
During the Week 10 "Thursday Night Football" game against the Denver Broncos, Smith sustained a thigh bruise after a tackle in the fourth quarter. At that point, the Broncos were leading 10-7 in a defensive struggle. After scrambling for yardage on a first down, Smith was tackled near his right knee by Denver's Nik Bonitto and stayed down for a moment after another hit.
“He was able to walk to the sideline, and backup quarterback Kenny Pickett came in.”
Smith went to the blue medical tent but returned to the game, although he appeared to be in pain and limping.
The Raiders ultimately lost to the Broncos with a score of 10-7.
Geno Smith’s resilience remains notable despite injury setbacks, highlighting his commitment to guiding the Raiders through a tough season.
