The Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport (BEST) Undertaking has unveiled major updates to its bus network effective November 1. The new plan includes the launch of additional routes, optimization of existing services, cancellation of select segments, and conversion of several lines to air-conditioned operations, all intended to improve passenger comfort and operational efficiency.
One of the key additions is route A-101, linking the World Trade Center with Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus. The service will run through essential city spots including G D Somani Road, President Hotel, Colaba, Hutatma Rajguru Chowk, and Madame Cama Road. Buses will operate six days a week, from Monday to Saturday.
Route A-101 aims to enhance connectivity in south Mumbai by connecting major commercial and transportation hubs.
The return route will cover Hutatma Chowk, Veer Nariman Road, and Churchgate, ensuring efficient links across central areas.
These modifications underline BEST’s efforts to modernize city transport while providing greater commuter comfort through air-conditioned buses and better route coverage.
BEST has restructured its bus network from November 1, introducing new air-conditioned routes, updated schedules, and improved connectivity to enhance commuter convenience across Mumbai.
