The official casting for “The Beatles – A Four-Film Cinematic Event” includes Saoirse Ronan, Anna Sawai, Aimee Lou Wood, and Mia McKenna-Bruce portraying the wives of the Fab Four.
Each of these women famously married one of the Beatles during the band's peak in the 1960s.
Variety initially reported the involvement of these actors, but their contracts were finalized this week, prompting Sony Pictures to confirm the casting officially.
“Maureen, Linda, Yoko and Pattie are four fascinating and unique figures in their own right — and I’m thrilled that we’ve managed to persuade four of the most talented women working in film today to join this amazing adventure,” said director Sam Mendes.
The project consists of four films, each depicting the life and career of one Beatles member as they rose from Liverpool unknowns in the early 1960s to global superstars before their 1970 breakup.
This marks the first time the band and their families have authorized music and life rights for a theatrical film adaptation.
