Erika Kirk, widow of the late American conservative activist and vocal Israel supporter Charlie Kirk, will accept a public diplomacy award on his behalf during the Christian Media Summit in Jerusalem, the Government Press Office announced.
The event gathers more than 100 prominent Christian media figures, faith leaders, and organizational heads from across the world. It is organized by the Government Press Office in cooperation with Israel’s Foreign Ministry and the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews.
According to the Government Press Office, the four-day gathering is designed to strengthen international understanding of Israeli society, combat online antisemitism, and highlight Israel as an innovative and open nation.
“Over 100 representatives of leading Christian media outlets, opinion leaders, religious figures, and heads of organizations from various countries” are expected to attend, the GPO said.
Four months before his assassination during an appearance at a U.S. college campus in September, Charlie Kirk addressed a letter to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. In it, he offered constructive criticism of Israel’s social media strategies and proposed ways to enhance the nation’s public diplomacy.
The summit takes place amid ongoing debates within American conservative circles about antisemitism and attitudes toward Israel.
Erika Kirk’s appearance at the Jerusalem summit honors her husband’s legacy and underscores efforts to strengthen global Christian-Israeli relations through media and diplomacy.
