Free agent center Precious Achiuwa has agreed to a deal with the Sacramento Kings, according to Shams Charania of ESPN. This marks Achiuwa’s sixth NBA season.
The Kings are expected to waive second-year center Isaac Jones to open a spot for Achiuwa. Jones, 25, is in his second season with Sacramento and has averaged 1.0 points and 0.7 rebounds in 5.7 minutes per game.
Originally picked 20th overall by the Miami Heat in the 2020 NBA Draft, Achiuwa was waived by the Heat before the 2025–26 season. Over five NBA seasons, he has played 320 regular-season games with the Heat, Raptors, and Knicks, averaging 7.6 points and 5.7 rebounds in 20 minutes per game.
Last season, Achiuwa appeared in 66 games (10 starts) for the New York Knicks, posting 6.6 points and 5.6 rebounds per game.
Donatas Urbonas of BasketNews reported that several EuroLeague teams had also shown interest in the 26-year-old Achiuwa.
Precious Achiuwa moves to the Sacramento Kings as they adjust their roster, while several European teams had also expressed interest in the versatile forward.
