Renowned Dubai-based travel influencer Anunay Sood has passed away at the age of 32 in Las Vegas, his family confirmed on Thursday. The cause of his death has not been made public.
Anunay Sood earned a place in Forbes India's Top 100 Digital Stars list for three consecutive years—2022, 2023, and 2024. He was described as a Dubai-based photographer who started by sharing his travel experiences on Instagram before building a successful marketing company.
With 1.4 million Instagram followers and 380,000 YouTube subscribers, Sood became one of India's most prominent travel influencers. He was celebrated for his stunning visuals, drone photography, and adventure-themed content, often collaborating with global tourism boards and major brands.
“He began by documenting his travels on Instagram and later went on to run a marketing firm,” Forbes noted.
Anunay's path into travel influencing began somewhat casually with an amateur vlog in Spiti, where he humorously described reaching “paradise” after seven tries. His early explorations included a memorable trip to Chandrataal, which he undertook in basic canvas shoes while trekking through knee-deep snow.
Each journey into the mountains deepened his love for photography. Over time, he began crafting immersive stories online, blending authentic travel experiences with his growing technical skill and personal flair.
Anunay Sood was the son of Ritu and Rahul Sood Kuthiala. He is survived by his two sisters, Rachita and Ishita Sood.
Anunay Sood’s captivating visuals and adventurous storytelling turned his passion for travel into a celebrated digital career, leaving a strong mark on India’s influencer landscape.
