World Space Week 2026 is under way from October 4 to 10 under the theme "Rocket Revolution," built around how falling launch costs could bring space within reach of more countries and organisations. Google marked the occasion with a dedicated Doodle, while Adafruit got involved with the week.

The European Space Agency teamed up with Pokemon GO to offer a special Astronaut Pikachu to players during the week. Katara also joined activities connected to the event. World Space Week is the largest annual space event on Earth, observed across more than 90 countries.
