Toyota recalled over 5,000 brand new vehicles. The problem centres on a steering defect that could impact control. The recall includes three-row SUVs with a fault that might damage the cars before they even reach customers.
Additionally, nearly 250,000 Tundra V6 trucks were added to the recall. Pistons in the engines could split. Owners of certain Tacoma pickups also reported cracks in the back glass on warm days. Most warranty requests to fix the glass at high temperatures are rejected.
